Michelle Murphy 7th grade English Language Arts

I have lived in the great state of Texas for the last five years and have been apart of the WISD family for the last four years.  I am certified in both ELA and Social Studies and I am excited to join the Tison family this year!  Prior to my teaching career I was fortunate to work part time as a Def Ed substitute where I worked with students ages pre-k through fifth grade.

 

Prior to moving to Texas I obtained my BA degree in Liberal Studies and minored in psychology.  I helped run a non profit basketball youth league for four years (NJB) which gave me experience in working with children from my community.  I worked with the HS football team to ensure they had what they need with regards to sponsors and meals for games.  My goal as an educator is to help our students be the best they can be and I look forward in working with them everyday!
