Lisa Durant - 6th Grade ELA

Hello! My name is Lisa Durant and I teach 6th grade ELA at Tison Middle School.  I am currently starting my 16th year with WISD. My favorite things to do include traveling, watching college football (especially the Aggies), spending time with my family, and of course READING!  My goal is for students to leave my classroom loving to read and be able to communicate effectively through writing. I have three children who attendend and graduated from Weatherford High School.  I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades.  Before moving to Tison five years ago, I worked with a great staff at Seguin Elementary.  I am looking forward to a great 2021-22 school year!
