Vic Chavez - ELA 6-8 SAS & Inclusion Instructor
Introduction:
Hello, students and parents. This will be my 17th year in education and my 4th year as an ELA inclusion teacher. I have taught most levels of secondary ELA from 6th grade to 11th grade as well as resource level to advanced placement. I spent the first 14 years as an ELA teacher before transitioning to the special education department. My journey in education began at Permian High School in Odessa, Texas and then I worked as the ELA department chair for Abell Junior High in Midland, Texas before moving to Weatherford where I spent the last six years at the high school.
My objective is to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all students in order to help them achieve the potential for growth in all areas of life. As a former public education student myself, I strive to answer all the difficult questions I had for my teachers when I struggled. I am always available for any questions or concerns you have.
