Welcome Parents & Students!
Hello and thank you for stopping by my web page. My name is Mr. Marvin Lofton and I am the PIC (Positive Intervention Classroom) teacher here at Tison Middle School. This starts my second year in Weatherford ISD and at Tison. However, this school year marks my sixth year as a Special Education teacher and my 8th year in the education profession. Prior to joining Roo Nation, I taught a Functional Academic Life Skills - Behavioral class in Mansfield ISD at the high school level.
I am from Hattiesburg, MS where I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration at William Carey University. This year I also completed my Master's of Education degree in Special Education at Lamar University. Furthermore, I am an extremely proud father to five children, Zhoee (13 yrs), Margo (12 yrs), Marley (12 yrs), Monty (9 yrs) and Kasidee (5 yrs).
I have a deep love for education and my goal is to Teach, Challenge, and Inspire each student that I come in contact with, and to instill a love for learning while building positive and meaningful relationships. In PIC we are working towards making life changing strides in order to promote success in the educational realm as well as in our community and society. GO ROOS!
