The Weatherford Independent School District provides quality services to improve the health and educational success of children and youth.  Health care staff continually strives to provide required and optional health related screenings, maintain required health records, and promote healthy lifestyles.

The health care staff will meet periodically to report health concerns and evaluate health issues.  At least once each semester, the staff will evaluate the health services program and plan improvement for the following year.  All nursing staff will participate in staff development programs and skill certification.

The Weatherford Independent School District Health Services’ duty is to assist students to strive for optimal wellness in a safe and nurturing environment, supporting them to have the ability to compete in a global society.  As professional nurses, we believe that in a safe and nurturing school environment, all students can maximize their individual level of physical, social, emotional and educational well being through intricate partnerships including parents, students, schools, and the community.

The health staff has a vested partnership in creating a district that has a vision to be a world-class district of choice and will continue to provide services that encourage staff and students to reach that vision.
