Mission
The mission of the Weatherford ISD is to educate, engage, and empower all students in a safe and positive learning environment to discover and reach their greatest potential.

Goals for 2022-2023 School Year
 
School-Wide Goal: Increase student achievement from D to an A as measured by STAAR, local assessments, and classroom observation summaries.
 
Reading & Math Goals: 1) Increase evidence of rigor & engagement to 80% as measured by classroom observation reports and the rigor & engagement framework; 2) Increase daily integration of critical reading, writing, and discussion activities as measured by classroom observation reports & lesson plan evaluations.
 
Parent Engagement Goal: Campus preventionists will contact the parent of each student on his/her case management list to discuss academic progress once per quarter.
 
Key Strategies Include: 1) Use of the observation & feedback protocol by Paul Bambrick-Santoyo; 2) Implementation of the data-driven-instruction (DDI) model by Paul Bambrick-Santoyo; 3) Relentless focus on lead measures using the 4DX process by Chris McChesney, Jim Huling, and Sean Covey; 4) Strengthening curriculum alignment and curricular planning through use of the PLC process; and 5) Use of campus preventionists to track student progress across the general curriculum using running records (e.g. progress monitoring tool)
